Excellent read, I just passed this onto a colleague who was doing a little research on that. And he actually bought me lunch because I found it for him smile So let me rephrase that: Thanks for lunch

I agree that this completely hilarious. Sadly there is a photographer named Heather Garland who tries to get rid of that video. Either she does not like the song or has no sense of humor. In any case, no one would have otherwise known that one of those bad photos in there is hers.

Glad to see that your blog is back online.

Thank you so much for this write-up. I signed up with istockphoto and dreamstime a couple of months ago and now average $50 in income per month with around 100 photos on each site.

P.S.: My wife thanks you too, since I use that money to take her out to dinner ;)

A friend of mine on ModelMayhem recently had a pretty bad experience with a “model” who also does web design. He hired her to design a website for his company and after paying 50% up front, he received a proof with the note that she needed the other 50% and he would then receive the final website.

Of course not only did he never receive the website, she also registered his company website under her name.

Her name is Shonna Kinz from Woodstock (Georgia) and she is studying at Kenneshaw State University and according to herself will soon be a real estate agent. Not a person I would do business with and even less a person I would buy a house from.

I am the owner of a photography site borrowlenses.com About 6 months ago, Darrien Smalls has stolen about $2000 worth of equipment from us. He rented the equipment and failed to return. He has also rented from a number of other online photo rental shops, with the same result. Overall, he has defrauded the online rentals to the tune of about $20k.

About two weeks ago, he attempted to do so again, this time under the name of Reuben Howard. He triggered a number of security flags that we have and we did not send out any equipment. Instead, about $800 in charges were placed on the pre-paid credit card that he used until it was maxed out. That’s one for the good guys. We are still in the hole, but at least some of the money has been recovered, and the new contact information was submitted to any authorities that would listen. Unfortunately, none of them care.
